Birmingham is well known for its plethora of outstanding Indian restaurants and this independent is one of the best.
Introducing Rajdoot.
Located on George Street in the Jewellery Quarter, Rajdoot is one of Birmingham’s best Tandoori restaurants.
With nearly 60 years worth of culinary experience between the chefs here, many of whom were specially trained in India and have been cooking North Indian cuisine for decades, you know that the dishes you’ll enjoy at Rajdoot will be traditional, authentic and full of flavour.
At Rajdoot you can enjoy all manner of mouth-watering dishes including lots of your favourite curries, meat, seafood and vegetable dishes all cooked to perfection using traditional Tandoori clay ovens and authentic recipes and techniques – there’s so much to enjoy at this brilliant restaurant.
Whether you fancy a Lamb Chilli Bhuna or a Vegetable Biryani, there’s something for everyone to enjoy here with lots of familiar and comforting dishes to choose from, but if you fancy something extra special, the stars of the show are most definitely the House Specialities. From the Rajdoot Chicken (chicken breast strips coated with selected spices and cooked to perfection in a tongue tickling sauce) to the Rara Lamb (succulent boneless lamb cooked in a rich gravy made with whole aromatic spices and minced lamb) and the Monkfish Tawa Masala (monkfish marinated in fresh garlic, ginger and aromatic spices, pan-seared with a hint of lime and lightly cooked with onions and green peppers in chef’s special msalas) there are some utterly delicious dishes to try. There’s even the Lobster Rajdoot Style if you really fancy pushing the boat out!
Alongside the A La Carte menu, there are some other great options including the Chef’s Recommendations (a hand-picked selection of dishes for when you can’t decide), a Deluxe Lunch Menu where you can enjoy a starter and main from the select menu of favourites for just £15.95 and add dessert or coffee for just £2.50 more (a great lunchtime option), and a Set Menu too. However you choose to dine here, you’ll be rewarded with big flavours and comforting dishes cooked with care and attention by expert chefs.
On the drinks list at Rajdoot are a range of options from red, white, rose and sparkling wines to refreshing cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). So whether you fancy a glass or bottle of wine, a crisp and refreshing beer, premium spirits, soft drinks or you’d prefer to sip on a cocktail or two, you’ll find a pleasing option on the drinks menu. Their carefully crafted cocktails are the perfect accompaniment to your meal so whether you go for a Peach Old Fashioned or a Virgin Berry Mojito, there’s something for all tastes.
The interior of the restaurant boasts lavish and decadent décor with rich colour palettes, ornate elements to the decoration and lots of gold touches.
