Foodies, listen up – this one’s for you!

Hampton Manor are winning the game right now. The game being creating the ultimate foodie experiences. The estate is growing with each new addition adding to the offering, never detracting from what’s already there. Pushing the boundaries and creating something truly special – and with their latest addition, they’ve done it again.

Introducing Grace & Savour.

Located on the Hampton Manor estate, Grace & Savour is a fine dining foodie experience that will blow you away.

Hampton Manor just get it. Everything they do is incredible and each time they add a new experience or a new restaurant it draws us back in for another taste, each one a distinct experience in its own right but each one totally knocking our socks off. The latest addition to Hampton Manor’s foodie paradise is the sensational Grace & Savour, which has opened up to glowing reviews in the press (unsuprisingly – it’s fantastic!).

Nestled inside the stunning Victorian walled garden, this restaurant is the full package. The seriously stylish interiors matched perfectly by the sumptuous fifteen-course tasting menu. Overlooking the gorgeous kitchen gardens (where so much of the food you will eat is grown), the views are breathtaking. Whether you sit on one of the tables, bathed in natural light from the huge windows, or you choose a seat at the countertop that surrounds the open kitchen, you will be in for a foodie experience of a lifetime.

Head Chef David Taylor, born in the Midlands, learnt his craft right here in Birmingham (he was sous chef at the brilliant Purnell’s in his younger years), before becoming part of the team that won three Michelin stars at the legendary Maaemo in Norway. Returning to the UK to help create this incredible new dining experience, he’s bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and ideas to showcase incredible produce and cooking techniques.

The menu is designed to celebrate the estate’s commitment to a progressive movement of farmers and growers who take pride in caring for the soil and the environment. Soil health, sustainability and biodiversity are key factors in the future of food, and David believes farming is the key to unlocking flavour. Making the most of the fabulous ingredients, the chefs are building up their stores, pickling and preserving to create a library to dip into at a later date.

Unsurprisingly the food is outstanding. Each course is as sensational and delightful to look at as it is to taste. The time spent sourcing suppliers and ingredients shows, as does the incredible talent of David and his team of chefs. The menu changes to reflect seasonality but it will always delight, intrigue, and satisfy.

Every detail at this stunning restaurant has been carefully thought out and considered: from the seriously sexy interiors (if you love design, thank us later), to the relaxing rooms, the like-minded suppliers and, of course, the delicious dishes and perfectly matched drinks (Wine Freedom are on the wine list, naturally – but you’ll also find other carefully selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and a drinks pairing is available too). All of these considered details add up to create this wonderful, complete experience.

For the ultimate experience, an overnight stay is an absolute must. A few tables are reserved for non-residents, but when you see the stunning bedrooms (and to enjoy an incredible breakfast the next day), an overnight stay in the adjoining Timber Yard will be extremely tempting. Sympathetic to the former timber yard roots of the building, the bedrooms feature earthy palettes and textures, exposed wooden beams and possibly the most delicious bathtubs we’ve ever seen. With Harvest products in the bathroom (another Indy-B favourite), you can enjoy an indulgent and pampering stay to complete the relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Designed by Hampton Manor’s very own Fjona, these bedrooms are a luxurious experience in themselves.

If you’re looking for the perfect foodie getaway, a special treat for a loved one, or you’re just a massive foodie and love what Hampton Manor are doing (samesies!), then a trip to Grace & Savour is essential.
