There’s nothing quite like your neighbourhood hangout. Familiar, friendly and welcoming, like an old friend you can turn to time and time again.
Introducing 1000 Trades On The Park.
Located within the beautiful Lightwoods House, Bearwood, 1000 Trades On The Park is the local neighbourhood bar and kitchen and sister venue to the fantastic 1000 Trades (with can be found in the Jewellery Quarter).
Set within the picturesque surrounds of Lightwoods House and Gardens in Bearwood, this brilliant neighbourhood hangout is the perfect place to enjoy some delicious food and drinks and catch up with friends and family. Firmly establishing themselves as part of the Bearwood community, the brilliant team from JQ favourite pub 1000 Trades have brought their fantastic offering to this part of town and made themselves at home in part of the stunning Georgian Grade II listed building.
Beautiful location? Check. How about some tasty food? The team have this covered too. Think mouth-watering, elevated pub classics and you’re on the right lines. With coffee and cake and a daytime light bites menu to provide essential fuel for your leisurely jaunt around the beautiful park, and a more substantial pub grub menu for evenings and weekends, and (of course) an epic Sunday roast menu for everyone’s favourite meal of the week.
The light bites menu features a selection of small plates and delicious sandwiches (think ploughmans, corontaion chicken, curried fish finger, and more) as well as some larger plates if you’re particularly peckish (classics like fish and chips, bangers and champ, and a scrumptious burger). For evenings and weekends the menu is a more substantial affair with a choice of snacks, starters, mains, sides and (of course) some crowd-pleasing desserts (think Eton mess and chooclate brownie). The menu features a refined take on pub classics with starters such as cauliflower cheese arancini or homemade fish cakes, mains such as homemade pie of the day, classic fish and chips, braised beef blade or slow-cooked pork belly and lots more. It’s all as hearty and heartwarming as you’d expect, a truly delicious take on pub grub.
Food sorted, how about a drink? If you’re familiar with the JQ-based 1000 Trades, then you’ll know exactly what to expect – the same quality drinks offering is found here too. An ever-changing selection of beers on tap from pale ales, lagers and IPAs to stouts, saisons, sours and more, natural wine by the glass or carafe, barista-grade coffees and artisan teas, a range of lesser-known soft drinks and an eclectic range of premium spirits provide you with a wide choice of drinks for any mood or occasion. You’ll feel just as at home here cradling a steaming cup of coffee as you will nursing a cold pint of craft beer.
What’s more, they’ve even brewed their very own exclusive house pale ale (teaming up with JQ legends Burning Soul Brewery) called Soul Trader. A delightful and dangerously drinkable tipple for beer enthusiasts.
With lots of events taking place both at the venue and in the wider park itself, there’s lots to keep you occupied at this brilliant venue from live music to workshops and special events. And, of course, you can always just explore the park or stay huddled up against the elements in this cosy venue. They’re dog-friendly too.

The interior is the perfect blend of traditional and modern with lots of period features remaining intact and William Morris fabrics providing colourful pops and vibrant patterns.
