Located on Hurst Street, Chinatown, Ocha is the aesthetically pleasing coffee shop serving premium speciality coffees, matcha, and freshly made desserts.

This place brings the vibes. Truly immaculate coffee shop vibes. We’re not short of excellent coffee shops in Brum, but we are always happy to add yet another amazing option to our hit list, and let us tell you that this place will probably be going straight to the top of your favourite coffee shops list.

At Ocha they take their drinks seriously and serve up some of the very best coffees and speciality drinks in the city. From incredible flat whites and iced coffees (you know, the usual suspects but really, really good) to more unique options such as espresso tonic, strawberry matcha floats, watermelon coconut iced tea and more, there are some truly exciting drinks to be sipped at this lovely coffee shop. Go for your usual coffee order or branch out and try something new – either way the drinks are delicious, and with the stunning surrounds we bet you won’t be able to resist snapping a pic for your Instagram too.

You won’t just find drinks that will put a smile on your face at this fantastic little place. The team at Ocha also serve some heavenly pastries and desserts for you to get your sweet tooth cravings fix too, all made in-house. Think along the lines of crème brûlée Basque cheesecake, strawberry bingsu (shaved frozen milk with layers of crushed strawberries, on top of a layer of crunchy strawberry ice – sounds like a summer dream), pandan and mango cream cake, matcha banana bread, Oreo cheesecake brownies, and more! We’re not sure how you’ll choose between these mouth-watering options but if you get two or three to try, we certainly won’t judge (mostly because we’ll be doing the same).

The space itself is an aesthetic dream, with calming tonal colours creating an effortlessly cool and minimal coffee shop vibe. They really have nailed it with this one and we’re pretty sure it’s going to be one of the most popular coffee spots in Brum. The team behind Ocha have created an inviting space where guests can enjoy quality drinks and sweet treats whilst unwinding and taking some time to relax. The perfect place to meet friends for a catch up or enjoy a moment to yourself on a busy day. An oasis in the city. Plus they offer take-away too, so it’s a great place to stop by when you need a caffeine fix on the go!
