Step into a secret garden and discover this foodie paradise tucked away on a stunning rural estate just minutes away from Birmingham.
Sound too good to be true? Well, it isn’t! Set in the old furnace house of the walled garden at Hampton Manor’s sprawling foodie estate is a gorgeous restaurant offering unparalleled flavours, unmatched vibes and unbelievable satisfaction.
Introducing Kynd.
Located on the Hampton Manor Estate, Hampton-in-Arden, Kynd is the gorgeous produce-led restaurant making your foodie dreams come true.
If you’re familiar with the wonderful Hampton Manor estate then you’ll know that everything they do is with intention, from the interiors to the ingredients and everything in between. This new restaurant is no different. Run by Executive Chef David Taylor and his wife Anette, who also run the estate’s other incredible restaurant (the fabulous, Michelin-starred Grace & Savour), this produce-led, neighbourhood restaurant is putting out some truly mouth-watering plates of food, and we’re confident it will become one of your new favourite places to eat.
At Kynd, they’re all about taking the very best British produce and treating it with the respect and care it deserves, lovingly transforming high quality, seasonal ingredients into mouth-watering plates of food. They work closely with their hand-picked suppliers and farmers to ensure the very best dining experience for their customers. The menu changes regularly to reflect the best seasonal ingredients, but is always a carefully curated menu reflecting their casual yet considered approach to dining, and showcasing ingredients in their purest, simplest form while embracing the low-waste, farm-to-table ethos synonymous with the 45-acre estate.
Whilst the menus do change regularly, you will always have the option of a 3-course A La Carte menu (with optional snacks and cheese course) or a five-course ‘Taste of Kynd’ set menu. Whatever you choose, your tastebuds are in for a real treat with dishes such as Cornish Crab, Salted Turnip, Pickled Fennel or Hebridean Hand-Dived Scallops, Pumpkin, Organic Apple to start, Ex-Dairy Flat Iron, Black Garlic & Onion Miso Butter, Rainbow Chard or Cornish Skate Wing, Creamed Spinach, Wild Garlic Capers, Roasted Fish Bone Sauce for mains, and Ruby Hue 70% Chocolate Marquis, Creme Fraiche or Tispy Cake Soaked In Organic Welsh Rum, Brown Butter Ice Cream (to share) for dessert, you’re in for a truly memorable meal. All of the mains are served with a melt-in-your-mouth potato fondant to share (although we’re pretty sure you won’t want to), and Sunday lunch brings the option of a traditional Sunday roast too.
To complement the incredible food offering, the drinks list is just as well considered. Like the rest of their menus, the drinks list celebrates the revolution in sustainable farming practices. From low intervention wines (including wines on tap, providing quality and value by the carafe), to the UK’s first carbon-negative beer, the thoughtful selection of drinks reflects their ethos perfectly. If you prefer, they also offer cocktails and mocktails, garnished from their garden.
The interior at Kynd brings a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere with dark wood tables, chic pendant lights and leather seating all adding to the moody, cosy ambience. In the warmer months, recline in one of the beautiful greenhouses for al fresco dining amid the plants and vines and make the most of the sunshine. Whether you’re celebrating a momentous occasion or simply enjoying a delicious lunch with a loved one, this restaurant is the ideal place to enjoy the very best things in life: great food, great drinks and great company.
